Performing Wellness Symposium on December 10th, 2016.
"I am hoping to further my knowledge and understanding of psychology and science in music and education, and how it can be integrated into my practice as a performer, educator and researcher. I developed an interest in this area through my honours research in the causes of music performance anxiety in improvising classical, jazz and cross-genre tertiary percussionists. Percussion pedagogy is also a field of research and practice that can be overlooked in music classroom, instrumental and music therapy. As a specialist, I hope to contribute and assist those with similar endeavours as well as learning from others to expand my knowledge and understanding in my area of research." - Anna
